The design ensures you never have to leave the 5.5-acre property — not even for a haircut.

When former LA Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp decided his previous home in Prosper wasn’t quite private or spacious enough, he set out to design a dream home that had it all—and then some. Working closely with architects and interior designers, Kemp created a 10,949-square-foot luxury retreat in Celina, built in 2023, with every imaginable amenity.

Now on the market for $6.5 million, the home is listed by Heather Stevens of The Agency. Situated on 5.5 acres in the gated Hidden Creeks Pointe community, the estate features five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a home theater, gym, koi pond, pool, and multiple garages. It even includes two indoor kitchens plus a full outdoor setup.

But what truly sets 2005 Honey Lane apart is its oversized entertainment lounge, complete with a full bar and indoor-outdoor game room, a stocked fishing pond with a walking trail, putting green, private vault, personal barber shop—and yes, a batting cage.

Kemp, originally from Oklahoma, moved to Texas after retiring from baseball and intends to stay in the state, according to Stevens. The home's design blends functionality and flair. The main living area connects to the chef’s kitchen with an open-concept layout, anchored by a statement fireplace and sliding glass doors that open to the expansive patio.

The kitchen itself is a standout, featuring double islands, premium cabinetry, and Kemp’s personal favorite—a luxury La Cornue range. There's also a prep kitchen and a full outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven, grill, and beer tap for effortless entertaining.

The estate is split into two wings: one for private living, the other for entertaining. The private wing includes a sprawling primary suite with its own sitting room, fireplace, and private patio access. The en suite bathroom impresses with a large walk-in shower, soaking tub, dual vanities, and massive closets, including one currently showcasing Kemp’s extensive sneaker collection in lighted display cases.

The entertainment wing nods to Kemp’s career, with a hallway of sports memorabilia leading into the bar, media room, and game lounge—each finished in sleek, moody tones, with natural light pouring in through a glass garage-style door that opens completely to the pool area.

Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the full gym and indoor batting cage, while the sauna offers a space to relax. Even utility spaces go above and beyond—a garage with a car lift and a laundry room featuring a dog-wash station ensure comfort for every family member, even the furry ones.

With its unbeatable combination of privacy, space, luxury, and proximity to Dallas, this Celina property is a grand slam.
